NOWwhere.io hired me as their Artist Experience Designer in 2021
I had the absolute pleasure working with Drew Lightfoot, CEO of NOWwhere. We closely worked together throughout the pandemic refining the look and feel of the start-up, covering useability of their digital products, and UI design for some of their key features. One of my roles was to take artworks made by prospective partners and recontextualise them for social media. Marketing these artworks was done to increase 'hype' and generate more favourable traffic towards the site ahead of major launches.
Stewart Jones
Stewart Jones' work focuses mainly on the sidelines of the city and the relationships of light and shadows within the urban environment. His subjects are the often overlooked, seemingly unimportant places and moments within the cities he paints. His unique compositions -the unexpected angles and perspectives, the shadows and light between buildings- are described with a passionate and confident touch, making these spaces instantly familiar, and yet new and exciting all at once.
NASH THE SLASH
The artist formerly known as 'NASH THE SLASH', was a Canadian multi-talented musician from 1975 to 2012. His estate includes many never-before seen pictures from the late 1960's and early 1970's, including Chuck Berry, Led Zeppelin, and The Who. My role was to sample his photography as well as his unique art style and form something new and ever changing. I found a way to create interpretations that would extend his work to new audiences.
My production-based role was to help NOWwhere best represent their artists
In addition to helping NOWwhere with their day-to-day graphic design, I closely aided the artists on our roster. I would meet artists online who wanted their work to be made into NFTs, or have their art reach a wider audience. They supplied me with their raw ideas and we refined them into digital products. I provided them with animations, photo edits, and anything their minds could imagine.
Animation, Motion Design, and Video Production
I provided support in the design production of videos about the brand, what its services are, and who we had wanted to reach. I animated transitions, spin-ups, and mockups for their user interface of digital products like NOWcert. My qualifications and experience in sound engineering, mixing, and video came in handy when producing new content.
The NOWcert was a digital insurance key for each NFT on the blockchain. We launched this video ahead of the release and I was tasked with animating the NOWcert graphics, mixing audio, and animating the spin-ups and transitions.
